A common problem with most Garages is that they
can often be either the hottest or the coldest part of
your house. Although you don't live in your garage,
commonly many household projects and tasks take
place there.
On the day we installed our Radiant Barrier product in
this garage, the outside temperature was 103 degrees
and it was cloudy, but the underside of the roof, inside
the attic, it was 147 degrees. After our Radiant Barrier
product was installed, however, the underside of the
roof dropped down to a mere 84 degrees ... a
significant drop of 63 degrees! Keep in mind that there
was no other insulation on the garage roof sheathing.
The intense radiant energy that was coming down
from the garage roof was stopped immediately with
the addition of our Radiant Barrier product.
The homeowners were absolutely amazed at the
difference our Radiant Barrier product made. They
informed us that it was the first time they could enter
their garage in the summer without being driven out
of it by the intense radiant heat emitting from the
roof.
On the other hand, if you have our Radiant Barrier
product in your garage or outbuilding, and you heat it
in the winter, you can now expect a toasty warm,
comfortable work area. Radiant barriers work as well
as in the summers, but in just the complete opposite
way in the winter by keeping the heat in.
