Prepare to be amazed!!
Check out the 160 degree difference
(photo right). This is how Radiant Barrier
works and it is amazing that this thin
material can perform like that. It is the
same technology used in space suits and
satellites.
Now think about your home, commercial
building or construction project. Make
sense? Your energy bills will be amazingly
low also!!
NASA developed Reflective Foil Radiant Barrier for
space travel. theEnergyman Radiant Barrier for your
home is:
Non-toxic
Excellent vapor barrier
Class A, Class 1 Fire Rating
Superior thermal performance
Insect Resistant
Radiant Barrier is not an option, properly installed, it
is the difference between low energy bills or high energy bills!!
How does insulation work?
Insulation is any material that slows the rate of heat flow from a warm
area to a cooler one. The more the rate is slowed, the better the
insulative qualities of the material. Insulations ability to resist heat flow
is measured as an R-value, the higher the R - value, the more the
material will resist the flow of heat.
Conventional insulation materials like fiberglass, cellulose, rock wool
and Styrofoam, no matter how thick, have almost no ability to block
radiant heat energy which can account for as much as 90 percent of
summer heat gain and up to 75 percent winter heat loss in conventional
structures. This is why insulation will fail. This process is what causes
high energy bills.
How does Reflective Foil Radiant Barrier work?
" R-value's" relate ONLY to a material's resistance to the flow, or
transfer, of conducted heat, they do nothing for radiant energy. It
takes a radiant barrier to deal with radiant heat which will drive in a
straight line from the sun, until it is either deflected, or absorbed. This
means that the sun's radiant energy will eventually pass through your
insulation, if it is not blocked by a radiant barrier. A properly installed
Radiant Barrier system will reflect 97% of radiant heat summer or
winter keeping your structure cool in the summer and warm in the
winter thus dramatically lowering your energy bills.
